New Features:

  • New name and User Interface: We’ve undergone a transformation at VDSS and are now continuing as Fryqua Data, which also entails a new User Interface. Although our name has changed, you can be assured that our devotion and quality of our services have not. At Fryqua we continue to monitor important and sensitive data in real-time and detect unauthorized access, changes and processing. Our expertise in datasecurity and security monitoring remains unchanged and we guarantee the same reliability you are used to from us.

  • Did you know: On the login screen, information and tips for the user are displayed.

  • Cloud monitoring: Data monitoring in the cloud, on servers and workstations. With this new feature, data usage in the cloud is
monitored. This gives insight and control over data stored in the cloud in SharePoints or on OneDrive. (VDSS 09.08.02)

  • Service Hardening: With this new feature, we have added an anti-tamper functionality and a watchdog, which will automatically restart itself if the service crashes or stops. You can configure this according to your needs per system, allowing you to set up a workstation differently from a fileserver or Cloud Agent.

Fixes and enhancements

Agents: With the addition of Cloud monitoring, the Inventory is now called Agents. Additionally, everywhere Systems is mentioned has been replaced by Agents. In SUM/Agents, it will now display which Agents are active as Cloud AgentsRules cloud agents

  • Cloud Environment: Fryqua Data can be registered in Microsoft Azure. This registration is always for a certain period of time. In Fryqua data, the expiration date can be entered and you can choose to be notified when the expiration date is approaching. If this is not chosen, the notification settings do not need to be filled in anymore.
  • Cloud settings/ Rules: With the monitoring of cloud data, rules can be set for when notifications are triggered or not. These rules can be further fine-tuned. It is now possible per OS type in the SUM to specify for which the rule applies.
  • Cloud settings: In NUM, when setting up files for monitoring, an error message will no longer appear If the file is already being monitored.
  • Cloud monitoring files: Files with the character <HEX code 2013> no longer trigger error messages.
  • Linux: Various improvements to the Linux monitoring. New Linux systems will now automatically register with the Fryqua Data Server and become visible in SUM/Agents. The notifications about the auditing settings of directories have been fine-tuned, as well as notifications when setting up rules.
  • Account settings: The user can modify their account settings in the upper right corner of the page. If multiple data points have been changed, now only one click on ‘Save’ is required.

  • Rules: The buttons for reported, blocked and excluded rules are now ordered according to the priority of reporting them.
  • Notification template: You can specify when and how you receive notifications in the notification template. This can be set up at SUM/Templates/Notifications. You can make a copy by giving a template a different name and making sure to use the “save as” option. An additional check has been implemented here.
  • Dashboard: When setting up Dashboard pages, the rotation speed has been increased to atleast 10 seconds. Groups are now displayed correctly, even after removing a group.
  • Breadcrumbs: At the top of the page, the user can always see where in the application they currently are. The correct breadcrumbs are now displayed in the following locations: Copy settings in the SUM, Cloud settings and Reports in all events.
  • Copy settings: The Ransomware tab has been renamed as Security.
  • Deleting Agents: Selecting of Agents in SUM/Admin/Agent delete has been improved.
  • Consistency: Groups, data and timeframes are displayed uniformly throughout the whole site. The use of capitalization has been standardized.
